2013 Club Accomplishments to the Community

We have been very excited this year to be able to help many organizations in various ways. Last Christmas through SAVE (Soroptimists Against Violent Environments) we were able to provide gift cards to single mothers with children to buy needed items. We have volunteered on such projects as the annual Strawberry Shortcake event at New Season’s Markets with all monies being distributed to seven women’s shelters in the metro area and our members volunteered at the 13th Annual Child Abuse and Family Violence Summit sponsored by the Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office. We also funded needed emergency clothing for sexually exploited children. In addition, we were proud to be able to present grants and awards to four deserving women in our community to help them better their situation. This is just a sampling of what we have provided to our community.
