Our Team
Soroptimist International of Lake Oswego West Linn, a registered nonprofit under section 501(c)(3), was chartered in July 2010. Our mission is to make a positive impact in Clackamas County by directing the proceeds towards crucial causes. These include supporting local women's shelters, combatting the grave issues of human trafficking and domestic violence, and extending various awards and grants to deserving women and girls.
As of June 2022, we take pride in having donated over $30,000 to local nonprofit agencies, making a tangible difference in the lives of those we serve. In addition, we've awarded $29,000 in cash education awards to 20 outstanding women, helping them pursue their dreams and aspirations. Your support and involvement are vital in continuing this meaningful work.

ONE CLUB OF MANY
Soroptimist was formed in 1921 in Oakland, California, at a time when women were not permitted to join service organizations. Our name, loosely translated from the Latin, means best for women. Today, we have over 25,000 members and supporters in countries across North America, Latin America and the Pacific Rim. We are one of five federations that make up Soroptimist International, which has clubs in more than 120 countries throughout the world.
